It's bad enough that my co-workers say "axe" for ASK and "woke" for AWAKE.. now I've got people on Facebook saying "take it for granite" instead of GRANTED.
What, did they think it was marble? Quartz?
Oh, and that Gain commercial where they use the word "gooder?" It makes my skin crawl!
Ugh.
Lol. I keep seeing people saying, "Im finna" instead of," I am going to". Drives me nuts too :)
ReplyDeleteThat makes the grammarian in me aboslutely cringe inside. What is happening to the English language?
ReplyDeleteThis post is really funny. Thanks for the good laugh! Never heard of "granite" used instead of "granted" before. Good to know, i guess:) hi hi I am now following you thanks to Wednesday Blog Hop and it would be so nice if you could share the love back on my blog:)

I used to think it was Chester Drawers when I was little! Oh my! The one that gets me now is "These ones." So many people say it's basically accepted now.
